Printing Project Specifications and Checklist
Here is a handy checklist and file requirements to reference when submitting a printing job for quotation or into production.

File Requirements
Our network is Mac-based and we accept provided files in the following formats:
  • QuarkXPress 6.1 to 7
  • Adobe In-Design CS4 or earlier
  • Adobe Illustrator CS4 or earlier
  • Macromedia Freehand X
  • Adobe Photoshop CS4 or earlier
  • Press Quality PDF's (300 dpi)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)

Most of the time, we can open the PC versions of the programs above. You can provide files per:
  • CD's DVD's 
  • Flash drives 
  • Email attachments 
  • Scan artwork and photos 
  • Hourly Rate for Design & Layout: $45.00
  • Minimum set up for Digital Press: $45.00
Check List
Use the following checklist when submitting files to Whistle Stop Press:
  • PDF's are used "as is". We can not make any corrections to contents. There are some exceptions but these should be discussed with the graphics department.
  • All fonts should be embedded/collected for output.
  • All pictures and artwork should be collected for output or embedded.
  • All colors must be converted to CMYK or specified in Pantone colors. Do not use RGB
  • Please provide us with a print out or hardcopy of what your job looks like.
  • If you provide us with a hardcopy only, there will be a charge to recreate your job.
